Hercules Mach wins gold medal at Asian tourney

 Vietnamese bodybuilder Pham Van Mach has won a gold medal in the 55kg category of the ongoing 2011 Asian Championships in Thailand, which coincides with the 3rd World Bodybuilding Championships for Women. 

Vietnam sent 15 bodybuilders, including four female athletes, to the event, which will conclude on October 7.

Pham Van Mach has now won six championship titles in Asia. His teammates also bagged three silver and five bronze medals for Vietnam at the current competition.

In the women’s competition, Vietnam’s Nguyen Thi My Tram clinched a silver medal in the world-class fitness event.

With such high achievements, Vietnamese bodybuilders have fulfilled the set target of winning one gold medal in the Asian event and one silver medal in the world event.
