Hi-tech cultivation area added up 188 hectares

In the first months of 2023, the province's agricultural sector continues to effectively implement the comprehensive, synchronous, and focused restructuring scheme and plan. The quality of agricultural products and the competitiveness of commodity agricultural products have improved.

Accordingly, the planted area of winter-spring crop is estimated at 5,720 ha, equaling 100.22% over the same period. The rice area reached 1,951 hectares, the starchy tubers 1,360.2 hectares, the oilseed crops 116 hectares,vegetables, beans, flowers and ornamental plants 1,810,1 ha, and other annual crops 404 ha. The area of hi-tech application in cultivation is about 6,274.4 hectares, increasing by 188 ha over the same period with valuable crops. The urban agricultural production area is about 327.4 hectares with main crops such as hydroponic vegetables, sprouts, mushrooms, orchids, ornamental plants and Tet flowers.
