Update: 30-11-2023 | 14:53:25

The Worker Festival 2023 has come to an end, but the lingering impact of the shopping festival still resonates with many workers in the final days of the year. This is also an opportunity for local businesses to promote their brands, stimulate production and business activities, thereby contributing to alleviating difficulties for enterprises and facilitating the circulation of goods, as well as creating momentum for the economic development of the local area and region in the coming time.

Practical for workers' lives

The Worker Festival 2023, organized in collaboration by the Department of Industry and Trade and the Provincial Labor Union, has truly created a platform and shopping space for workers in the province. By doing so, a healthy entertainment playground is created to enhance the spiritual life of workers and laborers living and working in the area. At the same time, an opportunity is also opened up for businesses to promote their brands, stimulate production and business activities, contribute to overcoming difficulties for enterprises, help facilitate the quick circulation of goods, as well as create motivation for the economic development of the locality and the region in the coming time.

Some photo shoots at the festival

Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, Ms. Phan Thi Khanh Duyen, stated: "The scale of the Workers' Day Fair 2023 includes 70 booths featuring various sectors such as processed food, agricultural products, fashion, and cuisine. Moreover, participating businesses will offer discounts of 10-15% on high-quality products with reputable brands and clear origins, specifically for workers and laborers. In the Worker Festival 2023, we aim to create a shopping and material well-being space for workers, especially as the end of the year approaches.

With the spacious amenities of the World Trade Center in the new city of Binh Duong (WTC), many workers have come to experience and shop. The majority of laborers "feel satisfied with the products and prices offered at the fair." Nguyen Thi Ngan, an employee of Chi Hung Limited Company, stated that although the products at the fair are not as extensive as those found in supermarkets or traditional markets, their prices are significantly cheaper. The venue is also cool and spacious, with multiple areas for selling goods. Therefore, she recommends bringing children for a weekend outing, where they can explore and enjoy food and beverages. She found that the majority of items here are priced lower compared to supermarkets or markets. She purchased household goods, clothing, and some condiments such as fish sauce and sugar. Everything was discounted, so she felt happy while her child also got to explore the food stalls on the weekend.

When exchanging with us, businesses and manufacturing facilities participating in booths all agree that when the booth space is provided free of charge, each unit wants to share profits and deliver the best goods to workers. In addition to ensuring the highest product quality, businesses are also reducing prices by at least 10 - 15% to reach a wider audience through events. This not only benefits workers and laborers, but also reinforces the brand value of these products.

Responsible enterprises

Ngo Minh Dien, owner of Thanh Dien cutting board facility in Thuan An city, stated that on this workers' festival, Thanh Dien cutting board facility is selling products at prices ranging from 50 - 70% of the usual factory prices, with the aim of sharing profits and providing high-quality kitchen products for workers.

“In the current challenging context, our establishment aims to ensure that goods reach the hands of workers at the most affordable prices. By using products to educate workers about the merchandise, prioritizing domestic goods, and supporting Vietnamese brands with a reputable presence in the market, we strive to promote the consumption of local products. This widespread consumption, especially of local products, is crucial for the business's growth and development,” said Dien.

According to the assessment from Tan Hiep Phat Garment Cooperative in Phu Giao district, consumers are becoming increasingly meticulous in choosing consumer products. Apart from style and durability, they are particularly concerned about safety for health. Understanding this psychology, the cooperative has introduced to workers many products with reasonable prices, guaranteed quality, and convenience. Compared to foreign goods, Vietnamese products have many advantages thanks to understanding the habits of domestic consumers. As a result, Vietnamese products have increased competitiveness with imported goods, gaining the trust of consumers who choose Vietnamese-origin products instead of foreign ones.

Nguyen Quang Vu, Director of Nam Binh Co., Ltd., stated that during the company's event, they introduced the youth workers to the best-priced Prowin sports shoe models. With the desire to support workers in improving their health conditions and also to promote the movement of "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese products", building a habit of using goods with clear quality and origin, igniting national pride through practical actions in every Vietnamese individual, aiming to choose domestic products to create motivation for producing high-quality Vietnamese goods that can compete with foreign goods, meeting domestic consumption and export demands.

"Recognizing the practicality and benefits of the event, Nam Binh Company actively participated in accompanying the program to bring a vibrant and healthy playground, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the workers in the area," Nguyen Quang Vu added.
