High-tech agricultural models promoted

Implementing a breakthrough program on agricultural restructuring and production towards hi-tech models, the district has prioritized the development of agriculture in the form of farms, promoting the application of technology into production and built specialized farming areas.. Accordingly, the district’s urban, hi-tech agricultural and farm economic models tend to develop strongly and be replicated.

Currently, the whole district has 299 farms, including 13 farms on cultivation under VietGAP standards and 286 farms on animal husbandry with a total herd of more than 3.4 million heads, in which there are 175 pig farms, 1 cow farm, 109 poultry farms and 1 quail farm. The district’s total farming area is more than 23,000 hectares, including 403 hectares of fruit trees and 10.5 hectares of other plants... The district’s coverage rate of industrial and perennial crops accounts for 72% of total.
