Highlights in student movements

Provincial Student Association has made contributions to gathering students, educating their morality & lifestyle and launching emulation movements among them.

Over the past time, the association attached special importance to taking care of students and developing them via campaigns, namely “five-good students”, “students building up a friendly and healthy education environment”, “student with study and creativeness”…All helped the local students have an active change in awareness and action; be self-aware and exemplary in realizing the Party and State’s policies and laws while arousing and upholding their volunteer in socio-economic development.

Along with learning as a main task, the local students were proactive to participate in activities launched by the Youth Union and other mass organizations. With excellent achievements done in study and training, many were admitted into the Communist Party of Vietnam. This also obviously reflected the local students’matureness in terms of political awareness and revolutionary action.

Trinh Thi Thuy Hang, Permanent Vice-Chairwoman of provincial Student Association said that over the past time, the movements of the local students were associated with 2 campaigns and 5 programs under the Resolution of the first provincial Student Association congress for the 2010-2015 tenure. The association successfully organized a young workforce festival every two years with vocational programs, dialogues between students and provincial leaders…

The association and its branches well realized the “good-five student” campaign with students honored at central, provincial and school levels. With the movement of “students with study and creativeness”, they set up more than 430 clubs, groups and teams on scientific research and learning. They also offered timely support to needy students via “young talent”, “Doan Thi Lien” awards, “DTL-Lighting dreams of Binh Duong’s students” scholarship fund…

Noticeably, the local students were active to take part in volunteer activities for the sake of the community. Along with annual “giving strengthen to exam season” programs, “summer youth volunteer” campaigns, they left a good hallmark with activities towards islands and sea. They organized annual “green summer” campaigns in Phu Quy island district in the central province of Binh Thuan.

“Binh Duong’s students joining hands to build up a friendly and flexible public administration center” was also one of impressive programs done by the local students over the past time.

Such these apart, the association held many interesting cultural-sport contests for students, contributing to bringing them useful playgrounds. With achievements done over the past time, it was awarded the certificates of merit of the PM while receiving the emulation banner for the best unit in the movements of the Vietnam Student Association Central Committee for 3 consecutive times…
