Ho Chi Minh City – Beijing air route opens

  On December 16, the Vietnam National Flag Carrier – Vietnam Airlines officially opens the new Ho Chi Minh City – Beijing air route.

The flight from Ho Chi Minh City (VN902) took off at 17h40 and the returning flight from Beijing (VN903) will take off at 1h30am of December 17. Estimated flight time is about 5 hours.

Mrs Nguyen Thi Minh Yen, Director of Southern Region of the National Airlines of Vietnam said: “This new air route will help Vietnam Airlines to perfect its networks to a potential market like China, as well as diversifying its services and improving its competitiveness. This time – table is not only suitable for both tourists and business people, but also for connecting – flight passengers from China to the Central of Vietnam, ASEAN and Australia”.

By operating this new air route, Vietnam Airlines has become the first airline to operate a non – stop air route between the Ho Chi Minh City and Beijing. Currently, there are 7 air-route is operating by the Carrier to the People's Republic of China including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Kunming.
