Update: 28-09-2012 | 00:00:00
From 2012 to 2017 Binh Duong Provincial Youth’s League has implemented pivotal construction in all fields of life. And, “Home of the kind-hearted” has been one of the achievements. Cadres, youths, and local people stand for photo at a breaking ground ceremony to build up a charity house in Bach Dang Commune of Tan Uyen District Getting through 70km, we have reached family of Mrs. Tran Thi Thanh Tuoi in Dinh Hiep Commune of Dau Tieng Commune. The small curving path has led us to the depth of Dinh Phuoc Commune and she greeted us by a joyful smile. She was once an active member the local Youth’s League; however, poverty has clinged on while she had to make ends meet.At her 30s but she was older than that age. She works on and on to win the bread supporting 3 members of a family. After completing taping of rubber trees in the plantation, she makes cakes to earn more.On receiving a new charity house, she was overjoyed saying: “Thanks to you, we now have a shelter through the days.”Leaving her home, we reached another house in Tien Phong of Long Hoa Commune in Dau Tieng District to meet Mrs. Le Thi Hanh. Five months ago, her husband was killed in a traffic accident while a charity house was being built.“I will try harder and harder to earn living and to support 2 children of mine,” she said with pains restrained. As for the two brothers of Tran Tuan Kiet residing at Tan An Commune of Thu Dau Mot City, the life is much bitter. Their parents were killed in a traffic accident leaving them with life supported by neighborhood. The inherited assets could not bear the burden of life; however, they keep on with studying at school and are graded as excellent students. The program of offering charity houses has supported them much in life.Currently, the program is maintained by Association of the youths who are calling upon the community to donate for families and youths in poverty. Despite life of hardship, the are all trying their best to overcome. Mr. Do Ngoc Huy, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Youth’s League announced that ever since 2010, local Association of youths has built 44 charity houses at the cost of VND 1.5 billion as part of greater program nationwide to offer 2,500 charity houses to the ones in need.Reported by K.
