Hue royal music
According to the Center for the Preservation of Hue ancient city, Hue royal music will be performed at the Silla cultural festival to be held in Gyeongju in the Republic of Korean from October 8th to 10th.This is an opportunity to popularize specific cultural values of Hue to Korean and international friends.
Hue royal music is a form of Vietnamese royal music popular under the Nguyen Dynasty (19th century). It was performed at annual great ceremonies, including enthronements, royal anniversaries, festivals and special events.
Hue royal music was recognized in 2003 by UNESCO as an oral intangible cultural heritage of humankind.
Nowadays, the preservation and promotion of Hue royal music is a contribution to the preservation and promotion of Vietnam's cultural identity as well as contributing to world-wide cultural diversity.
