Hundreds of billions of dong and meaningful programs for workers and the poor on Tet
On the evening of January 17, provincial Labor Union organized a program on "Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" for the 2025 Tet (Lunar New Year) 2025 and launched the "Trade Union Tet Market" with nearly 100 booths at Ben Cat city’s Cultural Center for Workers. The event was attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee, along with leaders of various departments, sectors, localities and over 600 disadvantaged trade unionists and workers.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Ha acknowledged and commended the efforts by all-level authorities, sectors, businesses and especially trade unions in caring for workers in 2024. He called on all-level authorities, sectors, agencies, units and enterprises in the province to fully utilize their resources and responsibilities to continue supporting and creating the best conditions for all workers in the province to enjoy a joyful and meaningful traditional Tet holiday.
Mr. Ha emphasized: “The consistent stance of provincial leaders is to view every worker from other regions as part of Binh Duong community. Therefore, we strive to pool all resources to provide the best conditions for workers to work and live with peace of mind. For this reason, many have chosen Binh Duong as their second home to live and build their careers”.
During the program, workers enjoyed musical performances celebrating the Party and Spring, participated in a lucky draw with prizes such as phones, motorcycles, televisions and other valuable items. Additionally, the organizers distributed hundreds of Tet gifts, including free bus, train and airplane tickets, to help workers return home and reunite with their families. According to provincial Labor Union, approximately VND 270 billion will be allocated to care for trade unionists and workers on Tet.
*On January 18, Thu Dau Mot city’s Labor Union organized a program on "Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party”, in attendance of Nguyen Van Dong, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of Thu Dau Mot city’s Party Committee at Thu Dau Mot park.
During the event, the city's Labor Union awarded 50 scholarships and gifts worth VND 1 million each in cash and a gift package valued at VND 300,000 to disadvantaged students. Additionally, they provided 50 gift packages, including essential items and cash, to trade unionists and workers with severe illnesses and 200 gift packages for disadvantaged workers staying in Binh Duong for Tet, with each including VND 700,000 in cash and a gift valued at VND 300,000. They also distributed 214 gift packages to trade unionists from local trade unions, with each containing VND 700,000 in cash and a gift valued at VND 300,000, with a total value of nearly VND 550 million.
*On January 19, provincial Military Command, in coordination with provincial Labor Union, organized a program on "Trade Union Tet - Military Rear Compassion" for the 2025 Tet (Lunar New Year) festival. The program awarded 82 gift packages to families of officers and professional soldiers whose spouses work in companies and factories. Each gift, worth VND 800,000, included food and daily essentials for the Tet holiday.
This program aimed at providing timely encouragement to the families of officers and professional soldiers, helping them overcome difficulties and successfully fulfill their responsibilities and tasks.
