The provincial People’s Committee yesterday summed up implementation of Decision 19/QD-TTg on preventing and solving situation of street kids, sexually abused children and child labor.

The provincial department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in cooperation with agencies and mass bodies has launched the Decision 19 effectively for 24 key communes in the province.

As a result, 490 enjoyed study assistance, 160 were trained jobs, 67 enjoyed jobs and 1 was reunited their families. As for child labor and sexually abused children, localities helped them enjoy vocational training, study assistance, psychological consultancy…

Addressing the conference, the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Huynh Van Nhi steered agencies and mass bodies at all levels to enhance their role in perfecting grassroot authority apparatus, promulgating child protection and care to the community and society.

On the occasion, the committee granted merit certificates to 10 collectives and 10 individuals whilst the local department conferred merit certificates on 10 workgroups and 20 individuals.
