Implementing policies, laws on ensuring traffic order and safety under survey

Update: 19-04-2024 | 12:57:54

On April 17, provincial National Assembly deputy delegation organized a survey conference on "Implementation of policies and laws on ensuring traffic order and safety from 2009 to 2023" in the province. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, Deputy Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation, Deputy Head of the supervision delegation chaired the conference.

At the conference, representative of provincial Department of Transport reported a number of contents related to the local public passenger transport network in the period of 2009-2023; management, maintenance and repair of traffic works. Accordingly, the current rate of urbanization is rapid, increasing road surface deterioration, causing the loss of traffic safety. Meanwhile, the State budget allocated for management and maintenance is still difficult, so it is impossible to synchronously implement renovation and repair solutions under the actual needs...

Representatives of provincial Police Agency also raised a number of problems. For example, some violators do not have house numbers, group numbers or neighborhoods, so it is very difficult to implement decisions on punishment that must be sent to individuals and organizations as well as collecting fines under the 2-day regulation. Concluding the survey, Mrs. Xuan noted obstacles in the process of implementing policies on ensuring traffic order and safety in the province that representatives of a number of departments and sectors have mentioned. She also asked for the units to complete their reports, clearly analyzing the current situation and proposing amendments in order to submit them into provincial National Assembly deputy delegation at the upcoming meeting and forward them to ministries and central sectors.
