Improve the protection of consumer rights

On December 18, a delegation in charge of monitoring, inspecting and urging the implementation of Directive 30-CT/TW of the Party Central Committee Secretariat, led by Le Trieu Dung, Chairman of the National Competition Commission under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, worked with People's Committee of Binh Duong province on strengthening the Party's leadership and the State's management of consumer rights protection. Welcoming and working with the delegation were Nguyen Van Danh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thi My Hang, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

According to Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, dissemination of laws and mass information to improve the work of consumer protection has received much attention at all levels, branches, associations and unions of the province in many forms, through many different channels. Every year, the province issues a plan to carry out activities in response to Vietnamese Consumer Rights Day.

Speaking at the meeting, Danh acknowledged opinions and instructions of the delegation. He also proposed that the Ministry of Industry and Trade actively assist Binh Duong province in implementing training and propagation activities on new regulations of the Law on Consumer Management and Protection in 2023; Relevant departments and branches are demanded to review and supplement documents and forms for reporting, clearly stating the achieved and unsatisfactory results, along with specific difficulties and problems for the Ministry of Industry and Trade to make reports.
