In 2015, trade surplus to reach 3.7 billion USD

According to provincial Department of Trade and Industry, in 2015, Binh Duong continued to sustain export-import activities. Thereby, provincial trade surplus reached 3.7 billion USD. Namely, export turnover was estimated at nearly 21 billion USD. Main exported products were wooden products, textiles, footwear, ceramics, rubber latex.

Import turnover reached 17,2 million USD. Import turnover increase came from the increase in imported raw material to serve export orders and the new wave of enterprise’s investment in innovating machinery to meet the increasing diversity of export orders.

In FDI sector maintained a high growth rate and contributed significantly to the growth of provincial export turnover. The traditional export markets, such as the US, EU, Japan, ASEAN..., was maintained and developed; export orders increased averagely from 10 to 15% compared with 2014; export and raw material prices were stale, gasoline prices fell, facilitating enterprise’s production, enhancing competitive advantages on the market.
