In celebration of provincial FFC congress for 2024-2029 tenure: Works, deeds for people

Upholding the central role of the great national unity bloc, many projects welcoming provincial Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) congress for the 2024-2029 tenure have energized a movement on building a cultural and civilized lifestyle throughout residential areas.

Love from new houses

Previously, during the rainy season, Dao Ngoc Chau from Hoa Long quarter in Thuan An city’s Vinh Phu ward was always worried because his dilapidated house, but he lacked money for repairing it. Mr. Chau's family is poor. His wife passed away from COVID-19. He is elderly and unable to work. His son is married, but also faces financial difficulties. Now, he lives alone. Understanding his situation, Thuan An city’s FFC allocated VND 100 million from the city's "For the Poor" Fund. With the fund plus VND20 million from his family, Mr. Chau built a new solid house of over 40 square meters. This work was completed on the occassion of the city’s FFC responding to the emulation campaign in celebration of FFC congresses at all levels for the 2024-2029 tenure.

Similarly,  the families of Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet in Binh Nham ward’s Binh Hoa quarter and Nguyen Binh An in Hung Dinh ward’s Hung Phuoc quarter in Thuan An city were also delighted to receive new, spacious houses. These families are poor and struggled with housing issues, so receiving a new house motivated them to strive for a better life.

Nguyen Thi Hong Van, Chairwoman of Thuan An city’s FFC stated that during the special emulation to welcome FFC congresses at all levels, the city's "For the Poor" Fund supported the construction of the three “great unity” houses. These houses provide significant motivation, helping the local families stabilize their living conditions, focus on work and production. Besides the newly buit “great unity” houses, the city’s FFC also repaired two houses and equipped exercise equipment at An Thanh park with total cost of over VND 400 million; organized exhibitions to celebrate the city’s FFC congress for the 2024-2029 tenure with total cost of VND 70 million.

Vinh Phu ward is one of localities with many works and deeds to celebrate FFC congresses at all levels. Particularly, the  ward has 4 ward-level works. The ward’s FFC has 3 works and the remaining 5 works are from the Front Working Committees of the ward’s quarters. The ward also coordinated with religious institutions, the Front Working Committees of the local quarters and the "Compassionate Hearts" group to offer hundreds of gifts to people with difficult circumstances... All these projects aim at building up a united, harmonious, cultural, civilized, prosperous, and happy residential area...

As recorded, works celebrating FFC congresses at all levels in Thuan An city are also focused on constructing and repairing roads and bridges, donating gifts to those with  difficult circumstances, building "Front flower gardens"... Mrs. Van stated: "The policy of the city’s FFC  is to select key projects and tasks that are suitable to the actual conditions of the locality to implement for the benefits of people, serving the needs of people in each quarter...”.

Promoting cultural-civilized lifestyle

During the special emulation campaign, Tan Uyen city carried out various activities such as giving gifts, starting the construction of “great unity” houses, upgrading roads... The city’s highlight of works in celebration of FFC congresses at all levels was those aiming at concretizing the building of a cultural and civilized urban lifestyle.

Particularly, Uyen Hung ward’s FFC coordinated with relevant units to implement the "Civilized Road" model in association with the model of "Turning trash sites into flower gardens" on Truong Thi No street in quarter 3. The ward’s FFC  carried out visual propaganda by painting walls, planting bamboos and flowers with the initial cost of about VND 120 million from State budget and socialized funds. To sustain this model, the quarter's Front Work Committee also installed an automatic irrigation system and planted about 30 “quynh anh” flowers with total cost of VND 11 million.

Besides green and clean roads, the ward’s FFC launched a "Cultural and Civilized Office" model among seven quarters. Accordingly, officers at each office will maintain cleanliness, plant flowers and set up propagafa panels in front of quarters’offices.

Nguyen Thi Hong Sen, Vice Chairwoman of Tan Uyen city’s FFC reported that over the past time, the city’s FFCs at all levels  implemented 83 works and 8 deeds. Among them, the city’s FFC completed four works. The FFCs of the city’s wards and communes completed 27 works and 5 deeds. The Front Work Committees of the city’s quarters carried out 52 projects and 3 deeds with a total value of over VND 8.2 billion.
