To form a solid foundation

According to Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, amidst the pandemic outbreak and developments, enterprises faced many difficulties to arrange and re-organize production activities, but the industrial production index in 2021 (IIP) is estimated to increase by 4.5% over the same period last year. Notably, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 5.3%, the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 2.8% over the same period last year. Not only the high added value, the processing and manufacturing industry continues to be the leading industry in attracting investment capital in the province. All create a stimulus for economic development in the "post-Covid-19" period.

Nguyen Truong Thi, Deputy Director of Department of Industry and Trade, said that along with industrial development indicators, free trade agreements are gradually being implemented in a more comprehensive and effective manner. This has created favorable conditions for export goods of the province to penetrate into partner markets with preferential tariffs. Most of the export items still maintained a good increase over the same period last year, such as: Machinery, equipment, other tools and spare parts, iron and steel of all kinds, cashew nuts, computers, electronic products and components , wood products and interior products from other materials wood, shoes of all kinds, textiles... In the year 2021, Binh Duong's exports mainly be in traditional markets: the US accounts for 34.6%; Korea 11.2%; EU 9.7%; Japan 8.8%; Taiwan 7.5%... According to expert analysis, Binh Duong's good recovery after the peak of the pandemic resulted from its fast movement and flexible adaptation in the implementation of the "dual goal". Even in July 2021, when the Covid-19 broke out strongly, the province improved the quality of management, organized meetings, formed a quick response team to assist businesses to give the most effective advice and create favorable conditions for manufacturing businesses.

High growth expectations

Facing the complicated development of the disease, the province focused on the disease prevention and control, urgently developed and carried out specific plans and scenarios to fit the actual situation. To effectively use resources, act decisively, effectively and synchronously implement the proposed tasks and solutions; improve medical capacity, especially treatment at grassroots. Industrial clusters have a safe and flexible adaptation plan, together with the province to overcome the consequences, continue the socio-economic development.

In the new period, the industry and trade branch continues to focus on solving difficulties for industrial production establishments, maintaining the growth rate. In particular, the authority prioritize in-depth industrial development, the attraction of supporting industries, processing and manufacturing industries with modern, environmentally friendly and less labor intensive technologies, integrate into the global value chain. To speed up the implementation and investment in infrastructure construction of industrial zones and clusters according to planning; develop supporting industry clusters, serving the diverse needs of investors. To grasp production and business trends in 2022 at industry associations and enterprises in the province. All are for the goal of index of industrial production (IIP) in 2022 to increase by 8.9% over the same period last year.

Facing the difficulties posed, with the province's flexible solutions, the efforts of the business community, the industrial sector has grown again. Import and export also achieved a correspondingly high increase, service sectors gradually stabilized... Enterprises make every effort to compensate for interrupted orders, and at the same time flexibly respond and resolve difficulties to catch up with development.
