According to Mr. Nguyen Trong An, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ben Cat town, after implementing the policy of bringing industry to the northern districts of the province, the economy of Ben Cat town really prospered. These industrial parks have helped Ben Cat town attract more than USD 8 billion of foreign investment capital as the industrial parks that have helped the locality to quickly transform from purely agricultural to industrial with promoted urban development, trade and service, and better conditions for people to produce and do business to improve their living standards.

In the wave of industrial movement to the north of the province, Bau Bang district is said to be the most beneficial locality, because it is located almost in the middle and the northern gateway of Binh Duong. It is also the locality that has been approved to plan the area of ​​industrial parks by 6.2 times higher to the operating areas. In addition to the expanded Bau Bang and Bau Bang Industrial Parks, the district also has Tan Binh, Lai Hung and Cay Truong industrial parks which are also being invested in infrastructure, ready to welcome businesses to open factories. Along with that, the science and technology industrial park project is opening up great development opportunities for the locality. Since the industrial parks have continuously sprung up, the rural areas in Bau Bang district have also rapidly changed in terms of labor structure. Many people from the fields have now entered the factories with new jobs of stable incomes, and improved living standards.

Recalling the past, Ms. Quach Thi Luyen, living in Lai Hung commune, still feels lucky because of her husband's wise decision 10 years ago. She said, in 2004, they came from Hoa Binh province to work as workers in Thuan An town. When theire two children were born, they still had to live in a 16-square-meter motel room. Bearing pain and suffering, they saved up and in 2012, they decided to move to Lai Hung commune of Bau Bang district to build a house to settle down. From the workers in the city to the poor and backward land but inherently having a farming career, the couple both trade, grow vegetables and raise chickens.

Then Bau Bang was separated from Ben Cat district. As Bau Bang district stretches out new appearance so that Lai Hung today has an industrial park with increasingly modern transport infrastructure with new and spacious roads. After many years of hard work until now, Ms. Luyen's family has a spacious house, and she also bought 2 more plots of land near her house. Her husband – Hai, now works in Bau Bang Industrial Park with a stable income. Her first child has entered high school with a cherished dream after graduating from university to work in industrial parks near her home.

Mr. Vo Thanh Giau, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bau Bang district said that, after 8 years of separation from the former Ben Cat district, and from a purely agricultural land, Bau Bang district has risen strongly to become a locality with a strong foundation of industrial and economic development. The most prominent mark is the construction and promotion of the role of concentrated industrial zones of Bau Bang Industrial Park and other industrial parks which are helping the local industrial develop, promote urban development, trade and service to bring the industrial production value of the district to an average annual increase of 21.31%.

A solid foundation

It can be affirmed that the policy of building and developing industrial parks is one of the appropriate and necessary creative directions in the socio-economic development strategy of Binh Duong. Developing industrial parks is of great significance in order to attract resources for industrial development, accelerate the process of restructuring the local economy towards industrialization and modernization associated with urbanization. Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Becamex IDC, shared that a locality wants to develop and attract investment should get based on providing a comprehensive ecosystem with key points through the planning of green industrial parks interwoven with urban, commercial and service areas.

Currently, 29 industrial parks of the province on a total area of ​​more than 12,660 hectares are invested with synchronous and modern infrastructure.
