Inspection on food safety strengthened

In the first 6 months of the year, the province’s agriculture sector coordinated with relevant units to set up 4 inspection delegates to inspect the observance of the law in producing and trading agricultural materials for 22 organizations and 36 individuals. These delegations detected and handled 12 cases with a total fine of more than VND.119 million.

During the Action Month on Food Safety, the sector established 7 delegations to inspect food safety for 522 individuals and 23 organizations. Through inspection, these delegations detected 56 individuals and 3 organizations violating the law in the field of food safety. They handled 3 wrong organizations with a total fine of VND 3.5 million, petitioned the district-level People's Committees to fine 56 individuals with over VND 196 million.

On the other hand, the sector also established 2 monitoring delegations to trace the origin of vegetarian food at 5 processing facilities and 9 vegetarian food shops in Thu Dau Mot city, Thuan An city, Di An city. And there were no report on clostridium botulinum bacteria and Botulinum toxin.
