Inspections on waterway traffic maintained

In 2010, the local traffic inspection force conducted 28 ferry stations and 35 waterway traffic means on Sai Gon, Dong Nai and Be Rivers. The inspections showed that ferry stations and waterway means drivers have enough licenses and specialized certificates.

The force also inspected 18 ferry stations, 26 waterway traffic means, waterway operation at border localities, sand exploitation on rivers…

Besides, the provincial traffic policemen and inspectors co-implemented 250 patrols on waterway routes and found out 2,404 violations. They fined 2,420 cases with the total fine money of over VND1.1bil.
