International tourism and trade fair opens in Thai Nguyen

The fair features Thai Nguyen’s development and integration, describing the province as an attractive destination for potential customers from Vietnam and abroad.

The six-day event is within the framework of the First International Tea Festival–Thai Nguyen, Vietnam 2011, which also includes a carnival with the participation of nearly 2000 artists.

More than 160 businesses from Vietnam, Laos, Sri Lanka, Greece, India and Taiwan are showcasing their products in 250 pavilions displaying tea, electronics, information technology, machinery, equipment, garments and textiles, cosmetics, construction materials and agricultural tools.

Seminars and exhibitions will also be held during the event, with a focus on tourism, culture, industrial, trade and services. The fair aims to advertise Thai Nguyen’s key products, increase the competitiveness of local businesses and introduce the potential of the domestic market in the ongoing process of international integration.
