In addition to the need of a large number of workers to expand production, many businesses said that due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, in 2021, many workers have left for their hometown and have not returned to work. Therefore, most businesses are in need to recruit workers at a large number of several hundred to thousand of workers. Industries with high demand for labor such as shoes, textiles, electronics, wood, food, trade and services and so on.

The great recruitment demand has opened up job opportunities for job seekers. Mr. Doan Van Quyen, a native of Binh Phuoc province, who applied for a job at Song Than 3 Industrial Park said: “Four years ago, I worked as a worker at an enterprise in Ben Cat town. That day, when I was first hired, the salary was very low, and it was not easy to get a job. Now, I see more open job opportunities for people who need while basic salary and allowances are much higher for the mto live well. To hire in full by first quarter of 2022

Assessing the labor market at the beginning of 2022, Mr. Pham Van Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs said that, looking at the reality, businesses in Binh Duong are short of about 80,000, which is quite a number. However, after Tet, many workers from other provinces and cities returned to Binh Duong to work including a large number of workers who returned during the last 4th wave of COVID-19 epidemic. Many workers in the northern and central provinces have the need to return to Binh Duong to work, but after Tet, it is difficult for them to travel because train and car tickets are very high. “It is expected that a large number of workers will return to Binh Duong to work at the end of February. In addition, in the coming time, the government will issue policies to support, restore and develop the labor market, in which there will be a direction to support both old and new employees, so Binh Duong will attract many workers for the time to come," said Mr. Tuyen.

In addition, in order to attract workers from the provinces, Binh Duong has set up a delegation of officials to work with the provinces including the policy of taking care of immigrant workers. The Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has directed the provincial Employment Service Center to offer very good channels to connect jobs with provinces and cities. According to Mr. Tuyen, in the current recruitment process, it is important for enterprises in the area to actively raise the basic salary as well as allowances, thereby increasing the total income for unskilled workers – the motivation to attract enough workers to return to Binh Duong to work in the first quarter of 2022.

According to statistics from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Binh Duong is short of about 80,000 workers to meet production needs at factories, industrial parks and clusters across the province.
