Many incentives
In recent days, many businesses have posted recruitment notices clearly stating salary levels and incentives to attract workers. At An Thanh Industrial Production Cluster in Thuan An City, Shyang Hung Cheng Company posted a recruitment notice for 1,000 unskilled workers in many positions with an average income of about 7.3 million VND/month. In addition, businesses also encourage workers to return to work and introduce new workers to work with bonuses ranging from 2 to 3.5 million VND/case.

At Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park 1 (VSIP 1) in Thuan An City, FDI enterprises also posted recruitment notices listing detailed allowances for new workers. Kurabe Industrial (Vietnam) Company, with 100% Japanese capital, is announcing the recruitment of 500 employees, with priority given to women with a probationary salary of 6.05 million VND/month, official salary of 6.2 million VND/month, income with overtime from 10.25 million VND/month or more. In addition, the company also provides allowances for housing, attendance, fuel, working area... with a total allowance of 1 million VND applicable to probationary employees.
Meanwhile, Tessellation Binh Duong Company also hung a banner announcing the recruitment of 500 garment workers - vocational trainees. The company also offers attractive incentives, such as productivity bonuses from 1 to 5 million VND, accommodation and fuel allowances of 500,000 VND/month, new worker bonus of 1.2 million VND and bonus for introducing skilled workers 1.5 million VND, bonus of sewing trainee 1 million VND... Or like Meraki FW Company, Dong An Industrial Park, Thuan An City, also posted recruitment for 500 production workers after Tet with a commitment to attainable income from 9 to 18 million VND with many attractive incentives, but the recruitment is also very difficult.
Labor shortage on the first days of the year is a situation that often occurs after Tet holidays, many workers who had returned home and have not back at their work. According to Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, after Tet, there are about 8,000 businesses needing to recruit more than 80,000 workers to meet human resources for order fulfillment in the new year.
Recruitment demand increases
According to Binh Duong Employment Service Center, the labor market in 2024 is forecast to still be difficult, but there are positive changes as many businesses start recruiting workers right in the days before the Tet holiday. The garment and electronics sectors are in need of recruiting workers from now until March 2024. Therefore, there will be many job opportunities for unskilled workers.

It can be seen that the labor market in early 2024 is “hotter” than the same period last year. As the Lunar New Year approaches, many businesses went to labor recruitment centers to prepare for human resource after the Tet holiday. Besides, some other sectors such as: electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, mold assembly, equipment operation and maintenance technician, electronic technician, purchasing manager, pharmaceutical warehouse employee, planning, design, sales, accounting etc. along with high-level positions, such as experts, managers, executives, technical workers requiring high expertise and foreign languages are being recruited by companies.

Nguyen Minh Luan, supervisor of Green Human Resources Company, shared that right after Tet, there were 40 business partners who needed to recruit about 1,000 workers, but after two days working with Binh Duong Employment Service Center, they received only about 50 applications. Luan said that in the "thirsty" for labor resources, many companies are forced to lower standards of requirements to ensure the number of workers for orders at the beginning of the new year. Recruitment standards can be reduced in terms of the length of seniority and experience, but basically, recruited workers must ensure that they work immediately without having to retrain or probationary.
From the beginning of 2024 until now, Provincial Employment Service Center has received recruitment information from more than 600 businesses with the need to recruit about 5,500 workers, including the demand for skilled workers in fields of: garment, wood, printing, packaging, leather shoes, backpacks, handbags etc. accounting for about 50%, the demand for unskilled labor accounts for 35%, and for professionally trained workers accounts for 15%. |
