Join up with Binh Duong Green Festival

At 8:00 on May 27, Binh Duong Green Festival will be started at the venue of Thanh Le Cultural Park under sponsorship of Department of Natural Resouces and Environment, and LiveLearn (green generation network).The one-day event aims at orienting the community to practical actions in a bid to protect the environment. Accordingly, behavior of the commnunity mainly of the public, enterprises, the youths, and unions to commit to environment-friendly behaviors in a sustainable life of recycleable fuels, less carbon dioxide emission, energy saving, clean technology application, advanced waste management system, proper waste classification for the environment. The event offered opportunities for organizations and companies operating in the area to express their social responsibilities in environment protection through specific acts following World Environment Day 2012. The Youth League members are folding up paper bags to encourage substitution for plastic bags Binh Duong Green Festival is open to photo exhibition, recycling products, environment-themed communication and movie shows, second program of “waste for gift”, painting gameshows for elementary pupils and secondary school students. Participants will also guided with paper bag making, aquatic plants, and animal reservation. Environment ambassadors and artists from Ho Chi Minh City will also joined in the open air stage of the event.Coming to Binh Duong Green Festival, visitors can join in games in the stands to receive souvenirs from organizer. They can also bring back the products made from recycleable materials. It is expected that 2,000 participants may join in the event to promote robust behavior of environment protection and improvement.World Environment Day is annually held by UNEP. This year the theme of “Green Economy: Does it include you?” stressing upon economic development while minimizing negative impacts on environment to bring about social equality.
