48 years ago, with the command of "fast, faster; daring, more daring ...", our troops and people throughout the southern battlefields raised their determination to overcome all hardships, hastily speed up their operations, paving the way to go, fight the enemy and advance, creating the momentum for the final strategic decisive battle in Saigon - Ho Chi Minh campaign, completely liberating the South, reunifying the country. Upholding the spirit of great victory in the spring of 1975, the Party, government and people of Song Be - Binh Duong have upheld the spirit of solidarity, determination to overcome all difficulties, being dynamic, creative, taking advantage of opportunities to build and make the province get richer, more beautiful and civilized.

The strength of unity

Upholding revolutionary heroism, the spirit of “determination to fight and win” in the great victory in the spring of 1975, over the past years, the Party, government and people of Binh Duong have overcome all difficulties and challenges, implemented the renewal cause, initiated and led by our Party, winning many great achievements with historical significance. The province’s economy has reached rapid development towards industrialization and modernization. The material and spiritual lives of the local people have been improved obviously. The work of building the Party, the political system and the great national unity bloc has been strengthened. Binh Duong has become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors.

The Party, government and people of Binh Duong with the tradition of solidarity, dynamism and creativity, continue joining hands to bring the province to sustainable development towards of a smart, civilized and modern city...

Inheriting the achievements of development since the national liberation, especially the results from the implementation of the Party's renewal policy and more than 25 years of construction and development, Binh Duong has risen up and become one of the localities with rapid industrial and urban development of the region and the whole country. That is an important premise for the province to further set higher goals and be determined to implement them in order to build up a more prosperous, beautiful, civilized and intelligent locality. On that basis, the Resolution of the 11th provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term affirms: "...striving to build Binh Duong province with sustainable development towards a smart, civilized, modern city. Binh Duong will become a modern industrial center by 2030 and a smart city of the region and the whole country by 2045.

After half of the term to implement the resolutions of the congress, there were advantages and disadvantages intertwined, but more difficulties. The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has greatly affected people’s health, life and production and business activities. After 2 years of fighting the pandemic, people's health and the "health" of the economy have just recovered, but have to face challenges from geopolitical conflicts in the world. However, with the tradition of solidarity cultivated over many generations, the Party, government, people and business community, Binh Duong has gradually removed difficulties and overcome challenges to realize the set goals and tasks.

By the end of 2022, although difficulties and challenges were still present, the province's socio-economic situation continued reaching impressive development. The province gained and exceeded many socio-economic targets. Particularly, the province’s domestic and foreign investment attraction continued being the bright spot of the country. The province’s GRDP increased by 8.29%; export turnover reached US$ 35.7 billion, up 9% compared to 2021... These impressive figures were the result of solidarity, efforts, dynamism, creativity and flexibility of all-level authorities and sectors and the joint effort and consensus of people and businesses.

More speed

In the first months of 2023, the province's socio-economic situation continued facing difficulties, due to the impact of the world’s economic downturn. In the face of the situation, provincial Party Committee and People's Committee have closely followed the direction of the Government, drastically directed sectors, localities and units to actively and flexibly perform the assigned key tasks.

"Faster, more drastic" is the message of the head of provincial Party Committee when working with departments, sectors and localities on the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the coming time. Even in the last days of April, when inspecting and surveying the implementation of the project on upgrading and expanding DT746 street, the construction progress of Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park III, Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation requested two localities, Tan Uyen city and North Tan Uyen district to urgently carry out compensation-site clearance and hand over the site to construction units while asking for contractors to shorten the construction time...

After many times of working with relevant localities and units, in addition to removing obstacles for development, provincial Party Committee Secretary asked for localities and departments to pay attention to political determination in infrastructure development and planning, with focus on promoting compensation and site clearance to soon implement such key projects as belt roads 3, 4, Ho Chi Minh city - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh highway, projects to upgrade National Highway 13, invest in An Tay port, expand An Son port, invest in upgrading, renovating and building new locations connecting with Thu Duc city in Ho Chi Minh city and localities in the region...After being completed, these projects will contribute to creating a breakthrough for Binh Duong to reach stronger development.

The spirit of "more urgent, faster" is also transmitted by provincial leaders in the implementation of national digital transformation, digital economy, digital society, and digital citizenship. In order to achieve the goal, provincial Party Committee and People's Committee have required localities to drastically accelerate the implementation of the Project No.06 on developing the application of population data, identification and electronic authentication for national digital transformation in the period of 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030. The province will also continue making more breakthroughs in administrative procedure reform, smart city building...

All of these key tasks are regularly directed by leaders of provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to create a breakthrough in the development of economic and social infrastructure, promoting Binh Duong towards more sustainable and faster development. Speaking at the 22nd session of the Executive Board of the 11^th provincial Party Committee, provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Loi asked for departments, sectors and localities to further improve their sense of responsibility and determination to direct the performance of the assigned tasks. “I hope that all of us, especially leaders, must effectively organize the implementation of the tasks of our industries, units and localities; must take the lead to deal with difficulties, and open up resources for development", said he.

Upholding the spirit of "determination to fight and win" and the order of "more speed..." in the great victory in the spring of 1975, the Party, government and people of Binh Duong province with the tradition of solidarity, dynamism, creativity will continue joining hands to build up a province with sustainable development towards a smart, civilized and modern city, being worthy of the merits of generations who have devoted themselves to the cause of national liberation and reunification.

Speaking at a meeting with provincial Party Standing Committee at the end of 2022, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: "Binh Duong province must pay attention to planning work; planning must be one step ahead with the breakthrough thinking, strategic vision; good planning aims at creating good projects, attracting good investment, effectively tapping the local advantages; digital economy, green economy, circular economy ...need to be focused on".
