Joining hands to construct new rural

In response to the movement “The whole country join hands to construct new rural”, in recent years, provincial Women's Union (WU) and its affiliates has promoted the propaganda, new models to implement the movement, especially the campaign "Building family of 5 no, 3 clean” has yielded practical results.

Diverse forms of propaganda

Propaganda has been promoted through many forms oral dissemination, leaflets, meetings, contests… For instance, provincial WU held the contest "Women join hands to construct new rural”. Sketches of teams have proved that affiliates have been more aware of the importance of propaganda while implementing the movement, contributing to changing perceptions and behavior of people, cadres, members, and women.

Tan Uyen town WU brought to the contest a meaningful sketch about how to encourage people to register for garbage collection, donate land for road construction. Ms. Le Thi Anh Nga, Chairwoman of Tan Uyen town WU, said, the sketch demonstrated exactly daily tasks of affiliates, that was fulfilling targets of new rural construction. Besides propaganda Tan Uyen town WU also established key clubs to implement this movement.

The contest "Women join hands to construct new rural” has helped improving the effectiveness of propaganda of the movement "Women join hands to construct new rural”.

For example, Green house club of Dieu Hoa hamlet, Bach Dang commune organizes quarterly meeting to disseminate contents of women and children, family violence, social evils prevention… under the criteria of "5 no, 3 clean" and new rural construction. From awareness to action, female members of clubs have make every effort to heighten sense of responsibility to fulfill targets, make commitments to bringing up, educating well their children, sanitizing not only their house but also surrounding environment. The Green house club has contributed to completing 19 criteria, helping Bach Dang commune to become a new rural commune in 2014.

Concretized into emulation movements

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, Chairwomen of provincial WU, said, since 2010, the campaign "Building family of 5 no, 3 clean” has been launched nationwide by Vietnam Central WU. In 2011, the Prime Minister launched the movement “Joining hands to construct new rural”. Accordingly, the campaign "Building family of 5 no, 3 clean” has criteria entirely consistent with 19 ones of new rural construction. Therefore, the 11^th National WU Congress Resolution (tenure 2012-2017) identified the implementation of  "Building family of 5 no, 3 clean” as an important content and contribute to mobilizing and guiding women to perform new rural construction and urban civilization setting up.

In Binh Duong province, after 4 years, the movement "Women join hands to construct new rural” with the campaign "Building family of 5 no, 3 clean” as the highlight attracting the participation of more than 1,000 members. Besides, affiliates have developed many models, such as: “Happy family” club, "No 3rd child”, Family without malnutrition", "Prevention of domestic violence"... Activities of clubs were lively and animated with many forms associated with the new rural construction. In addition, campaigns of street sanitation, green tree and vegetables planting have ensured food safety and hygiene for families, created a new autonomous movement of clean roads, environment…

“In the future, provincial WU and affiliates will continue to foster propaganda, promote effective existing models, and develop new practical models to contribute to fulfilling new rural construction targets”, said Ms. Hong.
