Journalists Association of Binh Duong province to renew content and mode of operation

The second working day of the 7th Binh Duong Provincial Journalists Association's Party Congress tenure 2020-2025 took place on June 19. The meeting had Nguyen Van Loc, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of Provincial Party Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Le Huu Phuoc, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of Provincial Party Propaganda Education Committee; Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Vice Chairwoman of Provincial People's Council; Dang Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; leaders Vietnam Journalists Association, leaders of press agencies of some neighboring provinces, and nearly 200 journalists inside and outside the province as attenders.

Executive Board of Binh Duong Provincial Journalists Association tenure 2020 - 2025 is introduced at the meeting.

At the meeting, participants reviewed the glorious tradition of the provincial press on occasion of the 95th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2020); Executive Committee of Provincial Journalists Association tenure 2020-2025 was introduced. The delegates approved the Resolution of Provincial Journalists Association tenure 2020-2025, in which the association is determined to keep innovating the revolutionary press to achieve strong organization, modern material facilities and technology, and professional activities.  

Binh Duong Provincial Journalists Association tenure 2020-2025 determines to implement an action plan for Directive 43 of the Central Party Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in activities of all-levels journalists associations, considering this as a key political task in 2020 and the following years. In addition, Provincial Journalist Association continues to strive for improving professional skills, political guts of journalists, organize learning of resolutions of the Central, professional trainings…

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Hung recognized and praised the achievements of Provincial Journalists Association. He congratulated journalists in the province; thanked press agencies, journalists and reporters for their important contributions to the propaganda and communication of important provincial events. He recommended that Provincial Journalist Association focused more on renewing the content and mode of operation; enhanced ideological, political education and professional training for journalists, who are soldiers on the ideological front, contributing to the overall development of the province. 

On occasion of the 95th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Provincial Journalist Association also announced the decision to award journalism medals to 27 journalists who made great contributions to the development of Vietnam Revolutionary Press. Provincial Journalists Association also announced and conferred 35 Nguyen Van Tiet journalism prizes in 201 upon winning journalists and groups of journalist, including 3 prizes A, 8 prizes B, 12 prizes C and 12 prizes of encouragement.
