Nguyen Minh Tam, Secretary of Thu Dau Mot Youth Union, said that the journey to the land of Thu Dau Mot aims to concretize the movement of compassionate for the homeland in 2022 and implement the project to build urban cultural - civilized lifestyle in the city according to the criteria of 5 exemplary citizens. At the same time, the program also responded to the activity of knowing one’s own history as being the people, the youth union members of Thu Dau Mot city need to know about the land and the people of Thu Dau Mot. The Youth Union has made a journey to the land of Thu Dau Mot to introduce and promote images, places, and cultural traditions of Binh Duong people in general and Thu Dau Mot land in particular.

The program will run from May 2022 to December 2022 on social networking platforms of YouTube, Tiktok, Facebook among others. In each broadcast, the program will introduce a famous place in the area of Thu Dau Mot city, which focuses on 4 topics of raditional craft villages, historical sites, famous landmarks, history of street names, discovery of entertainment places, and traditional cuisine. Over the course of 8 broadcast episodes, the program introduced viewers to Thu Dau Mot Traditional House, Hoi Khanh Pagoda, Tan An - Ben The communal house, piggy bank, and lacquer traditional craft village, Tuong Binh Hiep, Nguyen Tri Phuong street history, Ben Chanh dish, and traditional boat race in Thu Dau Mot city.

Nurturing the love of the homeland

The program is implemented by Thu Dau Mot Youth Media Club, from the stages of script composing, filming, editing, and hosting the program by the city's youth union members. Although with a non-specialist team, and with all their enthusiasm, passion for learning, the production team has brought well-thought-out products to the show to create excitement for viewers.

Ms. Huynh Kim Huong, a teacher at Le Hong Phong Primary School in Thu Dau Mot city, said: “Through the program, I have the opportunity to learn more about historical sites and old craft villages in my hometown. Thu Dau Mot is famous for traditional craft villages such as lacquer, ceramics, piggy-making etc. The journey of Thu Dau Mot helps viewers visit directly at the production sites of products to get a lot of useful information.”

Mr. Nguyen Cong Trung, a resident of Phu Loi ward in Thu Dau Mot city, shared: “Born and raised in Thu Dau Mot city, but I never had the opportunity to learn about the land and Thu Dau Mot people.
