To create a lively and united ambience as well as to encourage recruits, localities of Ben Cat, Dau Tieng, Phu Giao districts and Di An town yesterday opened the enlistment camping festival 2012.

In Ben Cat district: nearly 300 youths and their relatives and friends were presented at Ben Cat district Military Headquarters to join in the 2012 enlistment camping festival. Phan Ba Vuong, in Long Nguyen commune’s Long Binh hamlet, said “Long Nguyen is a heroic land. I always wish to be a solider. After finishing 12th grade, I voluntarily applied for the enlistment. I’m very happy because my wish now becomes true”.

Mai Ba Hung, the father of recruit Mai Ba Phuc in An Dien commune, said “I only have one boy. I’m happy and feel secure about my son’s enlistment”.

In Dau Tieng: the 2012 enlistment camping festival took place at Dau Tieng Rubber Company’s Culture and Sport Center. The festival included 13 sub-camps of 12 communes, townships and Dau Tieng Rubber Company with the participation of over 500 people. In 2012, Dau Tieng district has 215 recruits.

In Phu Giao: Do Xuan Toan, vice chairman of Phu Giao district Youth Union, said “The enlistment camping festival will include activities of art and culture exchanges, folk games to create lively ambience for recruits and youths”.

Also the same day, local recruits met with veterans, revolutionists to hear about the national glorious triumphs during the 2 resistance wars against the French colonialists and the US imperialists.

In addition, the district authority spent VND474mil to grant over 600 gifts to local demobees and recruits.

In Di An: Right from early morning, the 2012 enlistment camping festival, held at Di An high school, became more beautiful with numerous colorful flags and flowers. Over 8 a.m, hundreds of relatives and friends flocked to the camping festival to congratulate recruits. Recruit Pham Le Truong Duy, said “I will try my best to practice revolutionary moral, obey regulations and strive to be an elite soldier”.

In this enlistment, Di An town has 248 recruits including 7 party members and 241 unionists. Especially, in this year, the town has 2 female recruits who voluntarily join in the military service.
