July’s export turnover sees sharp increase

Total export turnover in July reached an estimated USD 8.4 billion, said the Foreign Investment Department under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

  On the whole, in the first seven months this year, the country has earned an export turnover of USD 51.46 billion, a year-on-year increase of 33.5 percent.

 Total import turnover in July was around USD 8.6 billion, raising the figure for the first seven months to USD 58.1 billion. This marks an increase of 26.2 percent compared to the same period last year.

 Trade gap in July was valued at USD 0.2 billion, making up 2.4 percent of export turnover. This is the lowest trade gap figure over the past seven months. Since early this year, trade gap reached an estimated USD 6.64 billion, accounting for 12.9 percent of total export turnover./.
