Connecting charity souls

In order to bring free meals for poor patients, a group of young people has dedicated their contribution as kitchen helpers at Tam Bo De charity team where specializes in offering free vegetarian meals for poor patients. The group of “charity kitchen” includes 15 youngsters from Thu Dau Mot University and Eastern International University.

They have a common character of loving charity activities. Therefore, they convene through Facebook social network. They have held numerous good deeds such as giving gift visits to Que Huong Humanitarian Center’s orphans, Bung Chruch, Bo De Dao Trang Pagoda and so on. At these destinations, they often cook meals and hold games for children. In addition, the group’s constant activity holds role as kitchen helpers and help deliver free vegetarian meals.

Tran Van Chien, a militia of Hoa Phu ward, head of the group of “charity kitchen” said that founded since 2012, the group has held role as kitchen helpers for Tam Bo De charity team and organized gift visits to orphans and lonely old people one time per month.

Rice kitchen of love

Nguyen Kim Lien, vice head of Tam Bo De charity team said “The team freely delivers 500-800 portions of rice on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday while the team’s members offer 100-200 portions for poor patients at Binh Duong traditional medicine hospital on every Tuesday and Saturday”.

After completing cooking periods, the young people take portions of rice to hospitals to deliver for needy patients.

Phan Thuy Trang, the third-year student of Thu Dau Mot University said “This job is very significant. Needy patients must spend much money for hospital and medicine fees, so rice meals free of charge are very precious for them. We feel happy to offer free meals for them timely”.
