Korean SEP wishes to invest into industrial complex of carbon neutralization in Binh Duong province

On March 9 morning, Mai Hung Dung - Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee, Standing Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee had a meeting and worked with Hyun Dong-Hoon - Professor of Korea University of Technology and Chairman of SEP and the delegation coming to learn about, exchange and promote investment in the province.

At the meeting, Hyun Dong-Hoon said that as Korea University of Technology established by the Korean Ministry of Industry and Trade as the first Korean university to have a Carbon Neutral Faculty is located in industrial parks and clusters of Korea with nearly 20,000 enterprises. Currently, large corporations such as Samsung, LG, Hyundai are all focusing on converting to carbon-neutral production. Based on the carbon-neutral model being piloted by the Banwol-Sihwa industrial complexes in Korea, SEP Group wishes to invest more than USD 200 million to establish a specialized carbon-neutral industrial complex in Vietnam's first shoe industry and carbon reduction infrastructure on an area of 180 hectares at Tam Lap 2 industrial cluster in Phu Giao district of Binh Duong province.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mai Hung Dung welcomed the Group's project investment as Binh Duong always prioritizes high-tech, advanced, environmentally-friendly, less labor intensive projects to create highly added value meeting development requirements in the direction of civilization, modernity and sustainability. Therefore, the Group's project implementation proposal is in line with the province's development orientation. Mai Hung Dung suggested that provincial departments and agencies should guide and create all conditions for investment procedures so that SEP can soon deploy the project.
