Labor employment demands diversified at the beginning of the year

After Tet Holiday, some enterprises in Binh Duong Province expand their factories or make new investments, leaving them in need of large amount of labor to satisfy the production and processing of purchase orders for the New Year. However, the quantity of workers returning to Binh Duong Province or applying for jobs locally has not been plenty. Thus, the enterprises have proposed various policies to attract more workers and settle down for production.

Jobs plenty

According to information about employment of Provincial Center for Jobs Services, many enterprises are in need of large manual workers for the work of low skill requirements. Many have been in need of in garment-making, shoe-making, machinery, electronic parts, retail services, etc. Accordingly, Thang Hoanh Co. Ltd., the specialized garment-maker in Di An Town, is in need of 300 workers, Ecco Vietnam Co. Ltd., the shoe-maker in Bau Bang District, is in need of 500 workers.

Vu Huynh Thanh Truc, Human Resource Officer of Dai Hoa Co. Ltd. informed that the company is in need of much labor upon its incorporation. To employ 3,000 workers for its production, the company has posted notification at the gate. Besides, the company has cooperated with job service centers to employ more. The company also offers bonuses to new workers and referrers.

Enterprises are seeking for workers at provincial Center for Job Services

The high employment demands of enterprises have been assisted by the center through notification and online information for job-seekers to follow up. However, not many of them have visited or submitted their profiles.

Nguyen Thanh Phuong, the Deputy Director of provincial Center for Job Services, informed of his registration to the center for direct and online employment. Statistically, about 60 enterprises are in need of 28,800 workers, of whom 26,200 would be manual workers and 2,600 skillful workers. However, not many have sought for jobs as those had returned home for Tet Holiday are in the sense of more resting while the newly quitting ones are waiting for the month to end.

Policies extended to lure labor forces

To resolve the challenge of labor resources, enterprises have proposed various policies to call for labor forces. Some enterprises have made detail notification about official salary and bonuses as well as transport, accommodation, and meal allowances, annual leave, additional salary month, monthly exceeding allowances, periodical health examination, and promotion opportunities.

“We know that it is rather hard to employ workers at the time but we are making efforts as the new factory needs more workers. As the matter of fact, we have notified for the recruit stating the benefits that we offer. For the first month of employment, a worker is paid VND 3.8 million which will be increased to VND 4.6 million from the second month exclusive of extra working hours. Besides, we offer allowances for transportation, meals, and illness treatment,” said Tuyet Minh, the HR Officer of Dai Loc Co. Ltd.

As enterprises are rushing for employment, job-seekers have more opportunities to select their workplace. Thus, on seeking for job, it is advised that thorough consideration should be made.

Talking to us, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong added that labor resources have become less and less as more industrial parks in the North have been established. Thus, to ensure rich and stable labor resources, the enterprises should pay more attention to material and spiritual life for workers who would be assured to stay attached and contributing their endeavors and knowledge for enterprise development.
