Lady Thien Hau Temple’s festival this year will take place according to traditional practices

Management Board of Lady Thien Hau Temple in Thu Dau Mot City of Binh Duong Province said that during the three Covid-19 pandemic years, traditional activities of Lady Thien Hau Temple’s festival were interrupted and changed to ensure safety and adapt to the disease development. Up to now, the epidemic has been well controlled, life has returned to a new normal condition, hence festive activities of this year's Ba Thien Hau Temple will take place according to traditional practices.

Accordingly, the great procession of Thien Hau Thanh Mau will take place on 30th January 2023 (9th of lunar January) at Lady Thien Hau Temple in Hoa Phu ward; and on 5th February 2023 (lunar January full moon) at Lady Thien Hau Temple in Phu Cuong ward.

In addition, at 9 a.m. on 5th February 2023, at Lady Thien Hau Temple in Phu Cuong ward, the Spring Holy Lantern Festival 2023 will also take place. Organizing Committee of the Holy Lantern Festival will hold an auction of nine Thien Hau Thanh Mau lanterns. Funds collected from the auction of holy lanterns will be used to repair and upgrade the temples, and do charity programs.
