On August 26, a delegation of leaders from Ben Cat city, led by Bui Minh Thanh, Secretary of the city’s Party Committee, pay an official visit to Busan city’s Yeongdo island district in South Korea. Kim Gijae, Mayor of Busan city’s Yeongdo district, welcomed and worked with the delegation.

It is known that Ben Cat city and Yeongdo island district established a cooperative and friendly relationship in 2011. After nearly 14 years, this is the first time leaders of Ben Cat city have visited and worked in Yeongdo island district. Currently, Ben Cat city is home to 149 businesses with 100% South Korean capital, providing jobs for about 40,000 workers. Additionally, 513 South Koreans (accounting for 10.7% of the total foreign population) are living in the city.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Thanh affirmed that the cooperative and friendly relationship between the two localities, which has lasted for nearly 14 years, is closely and continuously maintained. The contributions of South Korean businesses, experts, scientists and workers in general and those from Yeongdo island district in particular, have played a significant role in the development achievements of Ben Cat city. He expressed his hope that the cooperative and friendly relationship between the two localities will become more and more sustainable.
On this occasion, the delegation also paid a courtesy visit to Chairman of Busan city’s Yeongdo island district Council in South Korea.
