Leaders of Provincial People's Committee receive Indonesian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City

On August 29, at Binh Duong Provincial Administration Center, Nguyen Van Danh, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, hosted a meeting with Agustaviano Sofjan, Consul General of Indonesia in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the meeting, the Consul General of Indonesia in Ho Chi Minh City said that Indonesia has about 30 projects operating quite effectively in the southern region. Indonesian enterprises all expressed their desire to develop long-term operation in Vietnam. He also expressed his desire to learn about transport infrastructure development projects of regional connectivity, including Ring Road 4 project and Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh expressway to share this information at upcoming ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum. Leaders of Provincial Department of Transportation, Provincial Project Management Board for traffic ways briefed on the scale, alignment, and total investment of the projects. Both projects are in the investment preparation stage, the province is inviting partners to execute the projects based on public-private partnership (PPP).

The Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee asked Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Transportation to coordinate with Department of Foreign Affairs to continue providing information on projects to the Indonesian side. He hopes that Indonesian investors would continue to invest in Binh Duong in many forms such as direct investment, joint venture and association. Binh Duong always creates favorable conditions for Indonesian businesses to make investment in the province.
