Leadership role of provincial Steering Committee for External Information Work strengthened

*Being proactive to provide official information to press agencies

On the afternoon of August 5, provincial Steering Committee for External Information Work held a conference to review its activities in the first 6 months of 2022 and set out orientations, tasks for the rest of the year. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Education, Head of provincial Steering Committee for External Information Work chaired the conference.

Since early this year, agencies, units and localities in the province have well organized the implementation of external information work, especially in association with Covid-19 prevention and control. The activities of external information work were implemented in various forms, contributing to orienting and promptly updating the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, synchronously and systematically disseminating information on the situation of Binh Duong, especially official information on the issues of public concern, creating consensus among cadres, Party members and people from all strata in the province.

Province-based press agencies closely coordinated in propaganda work, contributing to improving the effectiveness of propaganda and introducing the achievements in the renewal process of the country and the province to countries around the world. …

Speaking at the conference, Mrs.Hanh emphasized that from now to year end, the province will further strengthen the leadership role of provincial Steering Committee for External Information Work in the direction of improving proactiveness and perfecting its coordination mechanism between member units in directing and organizing external information activities at all levels; strengthen the work of external information in line with pandemic prevention and control conditions; pay special attention to media and press activities, promoting the application of information technology, internet and social networks in propaganda activities of member units, sectors, localities and mass organizations in the province.

In addition, the province will further promote people-to-people external information activities, bring into full play giving full play to the role of the Union of Friendship Organizations and friendship associations. Mrs. Hanh also suggested agencies, units and localities to proactively and promptly provide official information to press agencies, contributing to improving the effectiveness of propaganda; actively support and encourage reporters and press agencies to participate in national awards on external information work.
