Let's explore the "digital brain" of Binh Duong

With the goal of building up a smart city, developing sustainably, becoming a worth-living place, serving people and the community, Binh Duong has implemented strategic development programs. The birth of the Binh Duong Intelligent Operation Center (IOC) is a step in inheriting the local Party and State agencies’ results achieved in building e-government and applying information technology in recent periods.

In the roadmap to build a digital nation, e-government and digital government, the IOC is considered as the "digital brain" that plays an extremely important role and is the central solution serving the direction and administration of the Government, Prime Minister and leaders of provinces and cities across the country. In Binh Duong, the IOC not only provides provincial leaders with a comprehensive view of ongoing activities, implementing overall monitoring and management of service quality, but also helps compare with provinces and cities in the region, country and world, thereby analyzing big data, supporting decision making and setting up organizational plans, operational regulations and policies for specific situations.

Currently, provincial IOC has 27 fields, with 1,000 indicators and 146 operating tables that have been established in 4 database groups, including socio-economics, digital government and specialized fields of economic departments, sectors and socio-cultural departments. The data information on the system has helped provincial leaders run the local activities more effectively.

After more than one year of operation, provincial IOC has connected and provided data for fields that need operational supervision and met the management needs of provincial authorities, developing interactive applications between the government and the people. Therefore, the center's activities have contributed to improving the quality of service for people and businesses in the local digital transformation process.
