Lion Dance Festival 2025 sets Vietnamese Record
On February 9, Thu Dau Mot City hosted a lion dance festival to celebrate the Party and the Snake Spring 2025. Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee; representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Record Holders Association and the Vietnam Record Organization.

The festival was organized in the form of a mass performance, with the participation of 108 lion and dragon dance troupes from within and outside the city. Over the course of 120 minutes, the lion dance troupes captivated the audience with a variety of impressive performances. The colorful lion and dragon dancers moved rhythmically and skillfully, delighting everyone in attendance. Accompanied by the vibrant sounds of drums and cymbals, the atmosphere truly embraced the spirit of spring, filling people's hearts with joy and energy.
The festival was organized to maintain, preserve, and develop traditional cultural and artistic forms in the city. It also aimed to promote the practice of lion and dragon dances, which are rich in traditional culture, support healthy sports, and uphold the martial spirit of the nation. Additionally, the festival served as a valuable, healthy, and joyful gathering, encouraging people to enter the new year with an enthusiastic spirit, eager to compete, study, and work towards the development of the economy.

l After a period of checking the documents and directly assessment at the festival, on this occasion, the Vietnam Record Organization awarded the decision to establish "Vietnam Record for the event with the largest number of lion and dragon dance troupes performing at one location", to the two co-owners, Thu Dau Mot City Cultural, Information and Sports Center and Thien Hau Temple’s Management Board.
