Listing of candidates completed

* VTV to live bridge broadcasts of election in Thuan Giao Ward, Thuan An Town

Election Committee of the province announced completion of listing of candidates on May 17. By May 15, it was estimated that over 1 million people in the whole province would attend the voting as voters. The EC has printed 1,304,000 votes for voting of candidates to National Assembly and another 1,304,000 to Provincial People’s Council. Besides, ECs in districts have issued 1,120,000 votes for district-level People’s Councils and 700,000 for commune-level ones. 50-70% of voter cards have been complete by writing.

It is expected that on May 18, the EC will test try its information network and software which will help to update election results from 7:00 to 19:00 (expected election time). The time may be adjusted from localities to localities but will not be before 5:00 and after 22:00.

EC Chairman Vu Minh Sang called for preparation of vehicles, staffs and security forces to mobilize people to elect. VTV will live bridge the votings at Binh Giao, Thuan Giao, Thuan An on May 22.
