Litchi export to China surges sharply

Ending this year’s litchi crop, as many as 30,000 tons of fresh litchi were exported to China via Lao Cai international border gate. On average, export fresh litchi was priced at VND11,000-18,000/kg.

According to litchi exporters, price of the fruit in this year is not stable when it was exported to China with a small volume. However, about 13,000 tons of litchi exported with large volume reached higher prices.

The total export output of litchi in this year via Lao Cai border gate is lower than last year, owing to some exporters changed export border gates.
