Lives of workers in Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd always improved

Average income on rise

 

Taking care of the staff’s lives was one of the top priorities and important tasks made by the Party Committee and Directorate of Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd. over the past five years.

 

Noticeably, Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd. paid special attachment to adjusting the average income for workers, which was in line with labor productivity, production-business efficiency in each period of the company. This was also the lever to promote labor productivity among workers. In 2009, the average income per capita herein was VND6,061,828, increasing by 114.06% compared to 2006.

Many other policies for workers were also sufficiently solved by the company. According to the inspection result of the living conditions last year, the whole company had 7,653 well-off and moderately good households, or 77.3% of total; 2,247 average households or 22.7%. There were no poor households under the new poverty line.

 

Many support programs for workers

 

Nguyen Van Minh, chairman of Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd.’s Trade Union said that over the past five years, the company focused on realizing many substantial programs for workers. Giving loans for workers to build houses and develop homebased business was one of the significant programs made by the company. Through many support programs, the company provided more than VND10bln in loan for 726 households to build houses…

 

In the last tenure, the company’s Trade Union provided a total loan of VND3.8bln for 115 households to breed 168 mother cows. Company workers also supported each other in economic development with more than 8,000 breeding animals and tens of thousands of nurslings…

 

Along with its activities helping workers develop homebased business, the company over time spent VND12.7bln on providing healthcare for workers and their offspring. With nearly 190 doctors and nurses, the company‘s healthcare system also regularly provided medical check-ups and treatment for company workers and local people. In the 2009 and 2010 development plan, the company approved a fund of VND18.9bln to upgrade its health center at company workers and local people’s demand for medical examination and treatment

 

Mr.Minh added that in addition to carrying out its programs helping workers develop homebased business and taking care of their health, the company spent billions of dong to maintain its kindergarten system and cultural-sports activities…
