Local Cooperative Alliance reaches VND1,472bil in production, business and service value

Until now, the entire province has 118 cooperatives with 48,452 members and VND648.546bil in chartered capital. In the past year, as many as 14 cooperatives were set up with 320 cooperative teams and 5,233 members. 78 out of 118 cooperatives have been put into operation stably.

Cooperatives’ value in production, business and service has won VND1,472bil, a 2.5% increase compared with the previous year.

Meanwhile, average income of cooperatives’ members and laborers has reached about VND3.5-4.5mil per month.

In this year, Binh Duong collective economy’s goals are to establish 15 cooperatives, reach 95% of cooperatives managers attending training classes, create a more than VND4.5mil per month income for laborers of cooperatives and lure 90% of cooperative teams joining in the provincial Cooperative Alliance.

At the conference, the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Tran Thanh Liem applauded achievements of the provincial Cooperative Alliance in the past year and highly valued the alliance’s effort in newly establishing cooperative teams, disseminating and educating laws to new members.

The vice chairman also noted that in 2014 Binh Duong provincial Cooperative Alliance should continue to spur inspection, promulgation and education in laws for cooperatives’ members, to reinforce management of cooperative teams’ operation as well as effectively use funds for collective economy development and many more.
