Local experts granted CMMI 1.2 certificate

Binh Duong Information Technology Company (BIT) vice director Ngo Thanh Tam and Vo Hung Cung, a software expert of BIT were granted CMMI 1.2 certificate by Indian experts. At the certificate ceremony, Ngo Thanh Tam said that amid BIT’s re-structure period, the certificate granting has an important significance to improve capacity and expand foreign software market.

CMMI is a process-improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. CMMI model is an optimal solution for software production. CMMI is the next version of CMM. CMM and CMMI are developed by the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University of the US. CMM appeared in late 1980’s and was developed into CMMI one decade later. In 2000, CMMI 1.2 version was launched into the market.
