Local farmers get nearly VND10bln in loan for economic development

Provincial Farmers’Society, on Dec.26, forwarded a conference to sum up the activities of provincial Support Fund for Farmers and other fund sources in 2012 and partially sum up the two-year implementation of a joint program with provincial Bank for Social Policies.

In 2012, VND1bln from provincial Support Fund for Farmers was allocated to 6 districts, towns and TDM city. Localities also mobilized 956 individuals to provide farmers with more than VND2bln in loan without interest rates. In general, provincial Farmers’Society and its affiliates helped nearly 1,500 farmer households to get a total loan of nearly VND10bln from many different sources to develop their home based business.

Provincial Farmers’Society also organized 6,239 events of propagandizing and mobilizing the local farmers to build and make contributions to the local Support Fund for Farmers, luring the participation of more than 200,000 turns of people.
