Local health trade union eyes operational innovation and improvement

The trade union conference on local health sector set out missions on operational innovation and improvement for 2011. In the past year, the local health sector’s trade union set up 2 more locals and admitted 275 members, lifting total locals and members up to 36 and 3,367. All level locals conducted policies for laborers adequately. Funds of interdependence and charity funds… are maintained constantly, improving laborers’ life.

Meanwhile, movements of sports, art, and scientific research and so on have encouraged members to excel their missions. Notably, the activity of social charity has been positively implemented by all level locals.

Also the past year, locals in cooperation with local authorities and donors donated free meals for more than 49,300 people, free health check-up and medicines for nearly 5,300 poor people and granted over 1,200 gifts to orphans with the total value of about VND430mil.

However, to reach higher results, the local health sector’s trade union must improve shortcomings and renovate operations as well as focus on activities of non-state health locals and among others.
