Local IIP in 10 months up 8.95%

According to provincial Department of Industry and Trade, the province’s index of industrial production (IIP) in October, 2016 increased by 7.33% compared to the previous month.

Thus, the local IIP over the past 10 months posted a year-on-year increase of 8.95%. Of these, mining industry saw an increase of 9.71%; processing, manufacturing industry surged 8.93%; production, distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioners picked up 9.18%; water supply and sewage treatment up 14.42%.

Also in October, the province’s total retail revenue of goods and services was estimated at more than VND11.98trillion, up 0.8% compared to the previous month. The figure over the past 10 years reached more than VND117.22trillion, up 22.8% against last year’s same period or 79.3% of the year’s plan. Of these, the domestic investment sector obtained more than VND114.03trillion, up 22.9% while the foreign investment sector achieved more than VND3.19trillion, up 18%.
