Local leaders pay congratulatory visits to Catholic dignitaries on Christmas

At Phu Cuong Church, on behalf of the delegation, Pham Van Canh wished priests of Phu Cuong Church and Catholic believers a merry and peaceful Christmas season and hoped that Catholic community would promote solidarity and respond the patriotic emulation movements as well as the mobilization of “All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas”.

Phu Cuong Church head Nguyen Tan Tuoc extended thanks to leaders of the provincial party committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee and departments and agencies for their profound attention to Catholic community on Christmas festival and briefed the delegation on the Catholic community’s solidarity and contribution and expressed hope to keep contributing to social charity work at the locality.

At Phu Cuong Church, Nguyen Thanh Liem, head of the provincial Committee for Education and Propaganda extended best wishes to Catholic community and hoped that priests continue upholding solidarity and mobilizing Catholic believers to join positively in social charity activities for the local common development.

At Binh Duong Evangelical Church, on behalf of the delegation, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee chairman Huynh Van Nhi wished the church priests and believers a merry and peaceful Christmas season. Priest Tran Van Hien, head of Binh Duong Evangelical Church extended thanks to the delegation.

At Bung Church in Thuan An town, the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Tran Thanh Liem congratulated priest Le Van Kham, head of Bung Church and believers on Christmas 2013.

In order to acknowledge contributions of the Catholic community, the delegation on Dec. 24 paid a congratulatory visit to priest Nguyen Van Minh, former chairman of the provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee at his home in Lai Thieu ward, Thuan An town.
