Over years, Binh Duong has paid attention to life of local minority ethnic people. The local policies have upheld efficiency in improving their material and spiritual life. Accordingly, poor Khmer ethnic groups in Phu Giao district’s An Binh commune have enjoyed production land at Suoi Sai re-settlement area in Tam Lap commune. At present, most of the ethnic households in the re-settlement area have enjoyed a stable life.
With the common tendency of production development in Phu Giao district, An Binh Khmer ethnic people have focused on planting rubber trees. Many Khmer ethnic households have so far enjoyed a comfortable life. Nguu Tri Tuan in Nuoc Vang hamlet, said “thanks to rubber tree, many Khmer households in the locality have escaped poverty”.
Tran Cong Quang, vice chairman of An Binh communal People’s Committee, said Khmer ethnic people have applied technical advances into production and calculated for a more comfortable life. At present, the number of poor Khmer households in the commune has decreased significantly.
Thanks to planting rubber tree, many ethnic households across the province have escaped poverty. At present, Cham ethnic people in Dau Tieng district have enjoyed a stable life.
However, there remain difficulties in approaching scientific advances for production and cultural entertainment areas for the local ethnic groups. Therefore, the locality has paid attention to vocational training for ethnic youths and scientific transfer to ethnic households and so on.
