Local retail sales revenue of commodities and services on sharp increase

According to provincial Department of Industry and Trade, in January 2023, people's demand for shopping before and after the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2023 will increase, so the province’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services will achieve high growth.

Accordingly, the province’s total retail sales of commodities and services was estimated at more than VND 26.72 trillion, up 3% and 17.4% from the previous month and over the same period last year. Of these, the domestic economic sector reached more than VND 25.12 trillion, up 3% and 17.4% over the previous month and over the same period last year while the foreign-invested economic sector gained more than VND 1.6 trillion, up 3% and 43.6% from the previous month and the same period last year.
