Local students respond to campaign on traffic safety education

Early October 5, the Ministry of Education and Training, in collaboration with the National Traffic Safety Committee and the "Motor Vehicle Insurance Fund", organized a ceremony to launch a campaign for students to strictly comply with traffic safety laws in Hanoi. The event also aimed at promoting traffic safety education, focusing on road traffic laws and safely motorbike driving skills at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.

The ceremony was held in both in-person and virtual forms, connecting 62 locations across provinces and cities. In Binh Duong, the ceremony took place at Vo Minh Duc high school in Thu Dau Mot city with representatives from provincial Department of Education and Training, Traffic Police Department and nearly 100 students from Vo Minh Duc high school in attendance.

At the ceremony, leaders from the National Traffic Safety Committee encouraged students to actively study, learn and practice traffic safety laws to thoroughly understand and comply with them. They emphasized the importance of building cultural values in line with Vietnam's traditions and modern standards, with a particular focus on safe traffic participation knowledge and skills.

Additionally, leaders from the Ministry of Education and Training urged schools nationwide to further strengthen efforts to integrate traffic safety education into lessons and extracurricular activities. Schools were also encouraged to closely collaborate with relevant sectors and authorities to ensure traffic safety among students, aiming at minimizing traffic accidents, especially those involving students.

Representatives from the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Ministry of Education and Training, and leaders from provincial Departments of Education and Training signed a commitment to intensify traffic safety education efforts during the 2024-2025 school year.
