Local tax sector boosts management and administrative reform

Despite economic difficulties, the province’s tax sector last year continued fulfilling its tasks earlier than planned.

 

State budget collection with high result

 

In 2011, State budget collection done by the province’s tax sector was 112.8% compared to the estimate set out by provincial People’s Council and equal to 115.8% compared to the same period of 2010.

  Thanks to propaganda and legal support on tax well realized, province-based enterprises have fulfilled their obligation to the State

This result came from the effective operations of province-based enterprises last year with total revenue reaching more than VND572.269trillion. Of the total figure, VND82.814trillion came from State-run enterprises, VND239.268bln from private enterprises and VND250.087trillion from FDI enterprises.

 

Boosting tax management

 

In addition to its regular activities such as organizing dissemination of information on tax laws, periodical dialogues with enterprises…, the local tax sector last year opened training courses on 2010’s personal and corporate income tax collection; relevant circulars and directives of the Ministry of Finance for enterprises.

 

The sector also made inspection of 6 enterprises that were suspected of getting involved in price transfers. As a result, the sector collected VND816mln in tax and imposed a total fine of VND195mln on them.

 

Regarding tax refund, the sector made inspection of 340 enterprises with VND6.5bln of tax collected and VND1.3bln of fine imposed on them. Tax arrears also reached nearly VND2trillion or 3.2% of 2011’s total collection…

 

Further strengthening administrative reform

 

Since early this year, provincial Department of Tax has promoted implementation of tax declaration via internet.

 

Consequently, there are now 3,967 enterprises granted accounts for tax declaration via internet and 3,359 ones realizing tax declaration via internet. Tax collection and payment via the commercial banking system has been well realized by the sector.

 

The sector still continues implementing administrative reform under the Government’s Project 30. Particularly, it focuses on procedures of tax registration and declaration; further realizes the “one-door” mechanism in solving administrative procedures in association with implementation of the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system…
